My name is Jordan Thompson. I was born in Reno, NV, but moved to Tucson, AZ, at an early age and spent my childhood there. I attended high school at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, from which I graduated as valedictorian of my class in 2009. I am currently attending Baylor University in Waco, TX, where I am studying computer science. I plan on graduating in May 2013. During school, I work as a college level tutor for Calculus and early computer science courses. Between semesters, I have worked as an intern at three different companies. My first internship, during the summer after my freshman year, was with IBM in Tucson. At IBM I designed an application to be used internally by the team there that helped track and report defects on one of their larger projects. After my sophomore year, I worked at HP in Austin. I created another internal app there; this time it was one that helped centralize information with the main goal being to ease the process that a developer goes through in order to switch projects. Most recently, in the summer of 2012, I worked at Google in Mountain View, CA. I was on the AdSense for Search UI team there, where I made substantial customer-facing changes that are currently live (and therefore visible to the millions of people who see Google ads daily). I have accepted an offer from Google to return as a full-time software engineer when I graduate in May.
